Originally from Colorado, Gabriel grew up with his parents Germán and Silvia Gutiérrez in Fort Worth, TX. His father was the director of Orchestras at Texas Christian University as well as The Youth Orchestra of Greater Fort Worth. "Coming from a musical family and not being able to play any instruments does make you a black sheep, but it taught me to look elsewhere to find my talents." From 2003-2013 Gabriel attended the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts where he flourished in theater, painting, dancing, and choir. These different mediums have shaped Gabriel's unique view of film because of his approach to it through these different perspectives.

An aspiring Director and Producer Gabriel is a go getter creates no matter the obstacles ahead of him. In the past four years Gabriel has worked on numerous projects both independently with films such as A24's A Ghost Story (2017) and A Partial Heart (2016) to commercial shoots with companies such as Main Event and Whataburger.

His biggest aspiration is to create films that illustrate the Latin perspective. This drove him to create Cine-Más, the first Latino Film festival in all of Fort Worth, TX. In its inaugural year, Cine-Más showcased ten showcase or winning films from major Latin film festivals across the U.S. and Mexico. This also included three films that were selected to represent their countries at the Academy Awards.

Gabriel currently lives in Los Angeles working as a freelance director and producer.
